If your child attends any of the following clubs and is over the age of 5, please take the time to read this guidance from GOV.UK.
This guidance is for parents and carers and covers changes to after-school clubs, holiday clubs, tuition, community activities and other out-of-school settings for children and young people over the age of 5 during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
Please take the time to read the following advice from Newcastle Council regarding digital safety. Covid-19 has impacted everyday life in so many ways and one that we must be aware of is the increased amount of time spent online. The link below explains how you can keep your child safe, signs to look out for if your child is being exploited and/or exposed to inappropriate content online, how to get help if you have concerns and how to report hateful content.
The Public Health Team from Newcastle City Council have produced a selection of resources to support parents and carers to feed their children when on a low budget. This can be useful during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The resources can be accessed below. Please take the time to look as they offer some helpful meal ideas and highlight just how easily money can be saved when shopping.
Newcastle Council are conducting a citywide survey to find out which families do not have access to a computer or have internet access to enable their children to work online at home. If you are in this situation, you may be able to get help. To find out more, either complete the form by clicking the link below or call the following number between 9am and 2.30 pm Monday to Friday. 0191 2774500. You must complete the survey before 2.30pm on Friday the 1st May.
Northumbria Police have asked us to share a message to our school community. Please take the time to read and consider what your children may be accessing online. Help us to keep your children safe online.
Northumbria Police have issued an update to their Prevent message (posted above.) It has advice and links to follow if you are worried about a member of your household. Please take the time to read it.
The police have also asked us remind you to monitor your children's use of the internet as they are spending more time online during school closures. It is important to monitor usage to keep your children safe and ensure that they are not accessing inappropriate content or putting themselves at risk.
